Anne-Lise Coste
Anne-Lise Coste (*1973 in Marignane near Marseille, France) studied in Marseille and Zurich before living in New York, and is now based in Paris. Her works combine poetic fragments, political reflections and emotional intensity with a raw and highly lyrical visual language. Oscillating between rebellion, humour and vulnerability, her paintings and drawings create a visual vocabulary that feels both intimate and urgent.
Her work is held in numerous international public and private collections, including the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam, MACBA Barcelona, Migros Museum für Gegenwartskunst Zurich, Staatsgalerie Stuttgart, Deutsche Bank Collection, FRAC Île-de-France, Paris, and the Swiss National Bank.
